Red Plague - A Non-Default Female Skin (MTS Medieval Challenge)

This is my upload for the Mod the Sims medieval challenge. Massive thanks to DaveyDaVinci for the idea, bless your lil cotton socks, Davey.

Red Plague

What medieval town is complete without a hearty dose of smallpox? That’s right, none. Well now you can have some of your female sims saunter around your neighbourhood proudly showing off their fashionable pustular boils.

Nice Version /  Alternate Download

Naughty Version /  Alternate Download

The skin is a non default so you will need Rez Delnava’s UI Mod in order for them to work.

It is for teens through elder, female only for now. Once I have created my male skin I shall upload a male version.

  • Day-um, thats nasty! But rather brilliant. If you beat me in the challenge, well. Lets just wait, “Irene”. >:D

Naw, I’m kidding. This looks great though! :)

  • Jen

Ewww I feel so itchy now XD Great job!!

  • RD

Oh wow I love that. You make some of the best skins & make-up around.

  • Lol Alan. I doubt I will, there’s not much to my skins and they are only female hehe.

Hehe jen. *gives you some calamine lotion*
    Thanks RD!

  • I couldn’t stop giggling over this. What a fun idea! I’m so excited about your male skin; your female one is the coolest thing since sliced bread. The nostrils amaze me! Is that too weird? Anyway, I’m a huge fan of your work.

  • These are great even if they make me itchy. ;) I hope you got the gift I sent you over at the official Sims site, Lady Frontbum. :)

  • Lol Epi, no not weird at all ;D

BRR, Thank you so much, that was lovely of you! <3 I have nooo idea about making default eyes but I will have a look and see if I can find anything out. You should try coming into #create (chat channel for mts on irc) you might get lucky and catch Escand in there. :)

  • Hey BRR, I had a look at the pm your friend sent me on mts but I have no idea why you can’t make it a package file :/

Have you tried asking on the mts creator boards?

  • It’s because when I put it in the S3Pe, it wouldn’t let me. Again, sorry to be a bother. And my friend tried asking, but they told her to stop asking creators for help.

  • That’s ok. :)

I’m not overly familiar with s3pe, I’ve only ever used it to make my default skin. All i did for that was to make a new file in s3pe, then add all the dds files for the skin to the file. Then I just did save as and named it whatever. I assume it would be the same for eyes, but I’ve never made them.

They told your friend to stop asking creators for help on the forums? Or by pm? I don’t think they would have a problem with someone asking for lots of help on the creator board section, after all that’s what it’s for :) Maybe you should go on there and ask, sorry I can’t help more, I seriously have no idea :(

  • I think I should’ve read Aikea’s tutorial more and have it with me while I was making the eyes. I feel so stupid now. It even told how to make it a package file. Ack! This is why I should re-read tutorials and if I was having trouble, I would have to go back and read it again. And thanks for the suggestion, I do that, but I’m going to have to start all over with the eyes because I found my mistakes; for one, you’re not supposed to just copy + paste in every photo and that’s why I feel so stupid. Lol! Again, thanks for the help LadyFrontbum and sorry for being such a pain in-the-you-know-what. I feel so embarrassed.

  • Lol no worries BRR, i’m glad you have figured it out. I look forward to seeing your eyes! :D

  • Thanks for helping me sort of that message I was getting with AwesomeMod, but I don’t know what I did wrong this time. When I was doing that configuration chart what I want enabled/disabled and I had everything disabled except for oversliding the CAS Sliders. I saved it, downloaded the test version of AwesomeMod and then I started my game. In the neighborhood view, I typed in the cheat ‘setconfig casslidersincreased true’ but, then I get an error message that it failed and the cheat couldn’t be found or something along those lines. Ok, so what the heck did I do wrong this time? I wish AwesomeMod was more easy to understand, but unfortunately for me, I guess not. Two reasons I wanted to get AwesomeMod: To download Jenna’s and your Sims and have them exactly how they were presented and because SuperComputer slows my game down bad, but AwesomeMod doesn’t. :)

  • Never mind, I figured out that I put the cheat wrong. I forgot to add Scale into the ‘setconfig casslidersscaleincrease’ Oops. Big mistake. Heh.

  • Haha that’s ok BRR. So you got it working alright? :)

  • Yea, I did. Thanks. And hope you have a Happy Easter. :D
