Work in Progress - Skin, hopefully the penultimate update ;)

Ok here is a massive gallery of shots of my skin as it is now. I think it’s done, unless there is something minor that needs changing. Either way I will finalise it and the files tomorrow. Woot.

Yeah, so let me know.

These were taken with ea feet. I will take photos with Bloom’s Sexy Feet tomorrow because I ran out of time today!

To see the non-censored previews of the skin click here.

He he finally I’m going to have fun playing with my sims !! Awesome.

Thank you for your wonderful work, your patience and devotion to upscalling our pleasure playing with the Sims3. And a great thank you for listening to our comments and suggestions ( which I hope were not too contradictory).

Keep on with your good work !!

  • Lynne

Absolutely stunning. Can’t wait to download, no pressure though.

  • Thanks so much everyone. I’m hoping these will be up tomorrow. Fingers crossed I get some simming time.

I only have a few minor things to fix so it shouldn’t take too long. So yeah, estimated time frame 1-2 days :D

I removed the non-censored shots and added a link instead. I’m not sure what the google adsense tou are like but I don’t want to violate them whatever they are!

<3 thanks for all your help.

  • Yesh. just yesh. these are the TITS! Can’t wait for 1-2 days or whatever. At least I’ll have my easter holidays from school then. Two weeks. All riiight. Great work LFB! :D

  • Zomg EA’s skin is a FAIL on wheels. Just look at how swollen it looks! lol. :D

  • These are fantastic. I’m already drooling over my screen :P
Excellent work, thank you! I’m definitely gonna be using them, it’s the good stuff!

  • LFB, what tools did you had to use to make your skins? I’m asking this because I want to convert this skin to Sims 3: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=302508
    What do you think?

  • Thanks guys! <3
Alan, isn't it!! I only played with it for five seconds then I downloaded peggy's skins so I'd forgotten how crap it is. When my hubbie saw my comparison shots he said, "Why doesn't EA make the skin like yours instead of crap?". I said "probably because they know the community will do it all so why bother".

BRR, I just used photoshop. Mainly just a soft brush at opacity 8%. LOTS and LOTS of layers. Seriously the files are massive because every time I changed something I would make a new layer to do it in. I have layers called things like "second nose highlighting", "fixing the lip divot" :D

    TL Lydia: thank you :D

That's a nice shiny skin, BRR. The tummy shine reminds me of Shymoo's. http://www.shymoo.com/ under sims 3 genetics.

  • Awww. S3PE is gone. I click on the link to download, but I get an error. I guess I’ll have to wait. Anyway, it’s giving me headaches looking through all the files. I might as well try tomorrw. Good luck with your skin.

  • I’ve never converted a skin so I have no idea how different it is to just editing the ea ones. Good luck! :)

  • Jen

These look great, better than HP’s skins at MTS which I’ve been using (for my females) for a while now :) I can’t wait to use them!

  • I guess it is time for plan B since I kept refreshing the page and it still wouldn’t let me download S3PE. Instead, I’ll try to recreate the skins by editing the EA skins as close to the Sims 2 version of the skin. I don’t want to be a bother, but which guides did you have to read for making custom skins? I forgot where to look or I keep looking in the wrong place.

  • Lynne

BlackRosesRaven try this link – I just tried it and it works (I haven’t hyperlinked it so just copy and paste it into your address bar). Hope it works for you.: http://sourceforge.net/projects/sims3tools/files/s3pe

  • Lynne

Sorry, that was a bit dumb of me as I see it is automatically hyperlinked. So just click on the link lol.

  • Lol.

I think I am done hey. I’m gonna work on the post now so I can publish them. :)

  • BlackRosesRaven

Sorry if this is the wrong place to be asking questions, but what if I don’t have Photoshop? I have GIMP, but I’m not sure if that will work. I already have the default skin files tat Aikea uploaded, I have GIMP, I’ll be downloading S3PE, and I’m sure I’ll have to get the tools that LFB mentioned for her completed skins. Ok, I should be set, right? I’ll need to read the tutorials and then get started on Friday or Saturday of this week. I’m so excited. It will be my first time making something for the Sims 3. Yay! After making the skin, I may want to try making meshes for clothing or hair. But, more tutorials I’ll have to read. Ack!
